HOOK - Walkthrough

The game action begins when Peter Pan learns about Hook's kidnapping of children. Our hero is transported to a land called NEVER NEVER LAND, where he must search for the abducted children.

We start the game at the main market, PIRATE SQUARE, of the pirate city. Hook's ship, where the children are imprisoned, stands in the port. To board it, you must disguise yourself as a pirate. The pirate uniform consists of a giant hat, a jacket, and pants. The GRAPPLING HOOK, a rope with an anchor, will be very helpful. You'll find the anchor where clothes are drying BEHIND PIRATE SQUARE, along with a CLOTHES HOOK. The rope calmly lies on the pier to the right of DEAD MAN'S PIER market.

Now that you've gathered all the items mentioned above, it's time to act. Head to the balcony above the BAIT AND TACKLE tavern. Use the GRAPPLING HOOK with the tip of the clock tower. Repeat this action three times. This way, you'll fly to the other side over everyone's heads. Take off a hat from one of the heads. Once you're on the other side, knock on the door. Mrs. Sweedles will call out in her masculine voice that she's coming, and meanwhile, use the GRAPPLING HOOK to land on the other side. Now go get the jacket from BEHIND PIRATE SQUARE. Using the CLOTHES HOOK will be helpful when taking off the jacket.

You now have the hat and jacket. Always examine new items carefully. Now you only need pants to complete the entire uniform. The sailor in JOLLIEST ROGERS PLACE tavern has great jeans. You need to steal them after getting him drunk. He has a strong head, so you'll need to make him drink three Cocoa mugs. To get Cocoa, you need to bring your own mugs. There are several in BAIT AND TACKLE and CROSS SWORDS. Besides, you'll need some money. You can earn some from DR. CHOP, so ask him about it. When you're with him, wander around the room and discreetly take the ROLLER BLIND curtain.

Once you have the whole outfit, it's time to change - but not in front of everyone. Go to the familiar place, BEHIND PIRATE SQUARE, and use the ROLLER BLIND there. That's how you become a pirate. Now you can board Hook's ship. On board, go to the right - you'll find jugs filled with gold. Take enough to buy a magnet. You'll buy the OLD RUSTY MAGNET from the tailor with the found money. There's a spot marked with a cross on the beach. Here, use the magnet to get an alarm clock.

Armed with many strange items, confidently step onto the ship's deck and go - this time to the left. Here, you'll have your first encounter with Hook. After a brief exchange, you'll land in the water. Underwater, use the CLOTHES HOOK with the PULLEY. Now, look at the giant clam DAM; you'll find a CONCH SHELL. Then use the DAM to surface. In the meantime, you can attach some mermaids.

From the beach, go to the right until you reach NEVER FOREST. There are many paths through the forest, but the shortest one is: up, right, up, left, up, and right. Going right will lead you into a trap. You'll hang on the rope for a while, but then you'll fall. Once you're on the ground, the tree door will open, and you can go through it.

You'll find yourself in the DINING AREA. Loud slurping will indicate that you're in the right place. Head to the right to ROUND POND. Here, take a branch, A STRUDY BRANCH. Return to the DINING AREA and go upstairs on the left. Keep going left until you reach AVENGER. Under the bell lies a net; pick it up and examine it closely. You'll find strings. Go back to JOGGING AREA on the right, where you'll do some exercises. Ride a bike and do some dumbbell lifts to improve your fitness. After exercising, go left to FOUR SEASONS. Take the yellow flower, A BEAUTIFUL MARI_GOLD. Scare the bird using the CONCH SHELL you obtained earlier.

The bird will fly up in fear, and meanwhile, take the eggs from the nest. Take the recently obtained white oval items to LOST BOYS WORKSHOP. Give them to the man behind the counter, and in return, you'll get giant slingshot gum. Everything's going great so far. Now take an arrow from the table.

You'll assemble a bow from branches and strings. Using the bow, shoot the arrow at PAN PIPES, located above the table to the right. Pick them up and go to ROUND POND. Give Tink the flower. In return, you'll get THE THIMBLE. After these actions, go to SLING SHOT, where you'll install the new gum. Before the actual jump, you must perform at least two jumps from the CLIFF SIDE dune. After each jump, ask the fat guy what he thinks of your circus evolutions. If he says you can try the big slingshot, follow his advice. After a beautiful flight, ending in a fall, dust off your clothes and approach the familiar chubby guy. Start the conversation with the words: What are your happy thoughts?. He'll reply, Mine is my mother but tootles was his marbles. You'll receive TOOTLE'S MARBLE from him.

Now return to the DINING AREA and say to the feast leader: Oh, Rutio. After a short animation, go right to ROUND POND and stand in the middle of the screen. In this position, you'll be hit by a stone and transferred to the other side of the river to the treehouse. Once inside, look at the bed, chair, and fireplace. Then talk to Tink. Now a longer series of animations will follow, after which, everything will be explained, and there will be nothing left but the final showdown. We'll transfer to the ship by air as a fully functional Peter Pan.

The fight basically relies on the art of language rather than the sword, so you should choose the following phrases in the successive stages of the battle:

• Peter Pan the Avenger

• Good form James.

• Tick-tock-tick-tock. Hook's afraid of a dead old croc.

• You kidnapped my kids. You deserve to die James Hook.

• Put up your swords. It's Hook or me this time.

• Peter Pan the Avenger!
